Rikito Gresswell

Rikito Gresswell is a Principal Consultant based in ERM’s Yokohama office in Japan, with over 20 years of international experience in environmental consulting. His career spans Australia, Japan, and the UK, with additional project experience in Argentina, Turkey, and the UAE. Rikito has led hydrogeological studies across the full project lifecycle for clients in the mining and energy sector, ranging from environmental approvals (for both greenfield developments and expansions) to operational support (including dewatering and monitoring), as well as closure and rehabilitation planning.

He has contributed to a wide range of mining projects, including bauxite, coal, copper, gold, iron ore, lithium, mineral sands, rare earths, and uranium. His experience encompasses both open-cut and underground (longwall) mining, as well as in-situ recovery method. Recognized for his expertise in hydrogeology and numerical modelling, Rikito has also served as an expert witness on groundwater-related matters for environmental approvals of major mining and infrastructure projects in Australia.
